Tamara Biary, DMD
Endodontist
Dr. Biary is a board-eligible endodontist with specialized training in root canal therapy and endodontic microsurgery. She is committed to providing high-quality, thoughtful care while making patient comfort a priority. She strives to make each visit as comfortable, calm, and positive as possible. Dr. Biary received her Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College. Before attending dental school, she worked as a research scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she developed an appreciation for research and evidence-based medicine. She went on to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. During dental school, she was selected as a Dean’s Research Scholar, allowing her to further pursue her interest in dental research. She subsequently completed her Advanced Education Certificate in Endodontics at Tufts, receiving specialized training in complex root canal treatment and endodontic microsurgery. Dr. Biary remains actively involved in education as a parttime clinical faculty member in the Department of Endodontics at Tufts University. She enjoys combining her clinical work with teaching residents and dental students. Dr. Biary has received several awards for her work in endodontics and research, including the Tufts Alumni Association Award for Clinical Excellence in Endodontics and the Quintessence Award for Research Achievement. She was selected as the Massachusetts Dental Society & Eastern Dentists Insurance Company Matthew Boylan Award Scholarship for distinguished service to organized dentistry and the community. She is a member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and the American Dental Association (ADA). Outside of work, Dr. Biary enjoys biking, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and her golden retriever. She has always loved traveling and exploring new places. She took her first plane ride as an infant and has enjoyed discovering new cities and experiencing different places ever since.
